Foc i LLoc
2025 / Outdoor performance
Foc i Lloc is an outdoor dance solo that unfolds between the earth and the body, between what takes root and what transforms, between searching and stillness. The performance draws inspiration from the traditional dry stone building technique, a defining element of the Pyrenees and of Catalonia's architectural heritage. Stones, like living bones drawn from the earth, become the foundations of an ever-evolving structure, rising and shifting through a vital force that drives the search for a place to inhabit.
In this way, dry stone shapes the work on three levels: as an architectural and scenographic element; as living matter and a metaphor for the construction of collective identities; and as a living symbol of a shared historical and cultural legacy. Foc i Lloc is therefore an exploration of belonging and the making of a place of one's own—an organism that not only shelters the body, but also defines it.
